Gain Strength like a DAD!

This is one man’s journey inspired by the unconditional love for his baby girl.

Everyone that enters the Wild Training Gym for the first time to look around is inspired by something to get fitter, healthier and improve the quality of their lives.

Sometimes we meet people who are just ticking the box of viewing gyms to have that internal debate of joining…one day, after the summer, in the new year, with no real motivation to make those changes just yet, or if ever.

Then we meet people who are truly driven to not only change their lives, but change the lives of their loved ones too, by looking after themselves better.

Meet Pav. Pav came to us looking to make some serious changes to his lifestyle not only for him, but for his baby girl that they had been blessed with.

During the tour he opened up about why he was motivated and what he wanted to get out of his new training regime. (Not realising that this regime will become a part of his lifestyle going forward). We listened to what failed him before and what he wanted to achieve this time - finally, he had walked in to the right place.

“I’ve been overweight most of my life, except a few periods where I got into shape. It’s the normal struggle you hear about; lack of motivation, like my food a bit too much, yo-yo dieting including extreme calorie restriction. There was always an excuse. ‘I’m tired’ ‘I’ll start next week’. ALWAYS an excuse.”

Pav is now lifting 170kg Deadlift. When he started he didn’t get 100kg off the floor. That is now his warm up weight!

SO WHAT CHANGED?

“That’s an easy one to answer. A little baby girl! Our first baby, and an absolute joy in our lives. The problem was I couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and panting, my strength had dropped significantly over the years and I was struggling to perform daily tasks including tasks at work.”

“My mind was made up, and I joined Wild Training. I started PT sessions with Paul and loved it from day one. The entire team has been supportive, and Paul has a wealth of knowledge.”

SO WHAT’S NEXT?

“What’s next for me? Continue to increase strength and improve my shape, drop body fat and increase cardiovascular health and strength. I hope in another 12 months I’ll be unrecognisable!”

We have no doubts that Pav will hit those goals and achieve so much more along the way with us!
