6 Week Challenge: Klaudia’s journey so far

Here is Klaudia’s journey - 17 days into her 6 weeks…

With every gym, personal trainer and Instagram fitness influencer advertising body transformations, it can be really hard to trust a programme that will actually work for the long haul.

Sure, if everyone were to drink juices everyday and do HIIT workout after HIIT workout the pounds will shed, but is that safe? Is that practical? And will you enjoy it? You all know the answer to that one - mainly because many have tried those before.

BUT WHAT IS IT THAT MAKES A TRANSFORMATION
A LASTING TRANSFORMATION?

Firstly, the courage, determination and desire to make the changes yourselves. As the saying goes, you can guide a horse to water…
Secondly, the compassion and motivation of the RIGHT people. Not just your trainers and coaches, but those in your social network.

And lastly, FUN.

Hopefully lock-down taught us that having a gym membership is a privilege, not a monthly subscription of dread or punishment for enjoying your weekend or that holiday. The right gym membership should become a part of your lifestyle, it should be where you get to switch off from the hectic work schedule, the kids ever growing social calendar, the time where you can work on you and have fun in learning new skills in the process - the slimmer figure, more toned physique will be a welcomed side effect!

Klaudia came to us looking to start the 6 week challenge, she wanted to get to where she wanted to be with her fitness and health and learn how to make positive changes for a healthier future.

‘This is the only full body picture from before I could find. I have now realised how badly I was concerned about my body, that I don’t even have pictures of myself. As my husband said, I was always hiding from having my picture being taken - but it will change soon!’

FINDING THE COURAGE

“I basically started this challenge because I felt disappointed with myself.”

“ I was always active as a child, attending many sporting activities and competitions. When I saw myself in my 6 year old daughter, I wondered when and how did this all end?”

The concept of play is lost as we grow and mature. We move less, we eat on the go because of other priorities, we put others first, but as the ancient physician, Herophilus said: “When health is absent, wisdom cannot reveal itself, art cannot manifest, strength cannot fight, wealth becomes useless, and intelligence cannot be applied.”

WHAT QUALITY OF LIFE CAN BE HAD WITHOUT HEALTH?

On the other side of the coin, what quality of care can be given to those who need it from us without our own health being a priority first?

Enjoying fitness and having an active hobby is not a selfish act, they stimulate your brain, social skills and provide you with not only a healthier and better functioning body, but a community in which you belong to beyond your family and friends.

Starting weight: 90.5kg
Current weight - 17 days since starting the 6 week challenge: 86.4kg
Weight loss so far- 4kg


Beyond the physical changes to a transformation are the mental and emotional changes.

‘I have gained weight easily and it was only making me more depressed and disappointed, now I finally have the power to change it forever’

Klaudia has gained more confidence in her body and now knows how to make positive changes for the rest of her life and most importantly for any parent, she will be able to pass this lifestyle and education on to her children. Would a juice diet do this?
