"If you want to make first ascents of Himalayan mountains, or first descents of whitewater rivers, how much you can bench press is totally irrelevant; you need practical, focused training. Wild Training is exactly tailored to your needs, punishing, innovative and best of all outdoors - for me, it's the perfect physical training regime."

"James's detailed knowledge of all things health and fitness coupled with his energy and positive outlook is truly inspiring and he has single handedly reignited my passion for fitness and sport. James is what I would call a true fitness geek (in a good way) and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone."

"After a good few weeks of slacking off on exercise and stuffing my face I needed a kick to get back into it. What could do that better than a “Wild Activity Week”. Each day I would set me a series of activities, from mountain biking, indoor rock climbing or even a fitness trail that pushed me out of my comfort zone. The week was great fun and it was amazing to see my fitness improve with the inch and weight loss as an added bonus. The teams encouragement and their passion for getting you fit made the week full of achievements for me like getting to the top of the rock climbing wall (when you don’t like heights), knocking 4 minutes off the fitness trail run and realising that cycling can actually be fun. If you want to see fast and effective results or you just want to get your training mojo back, the Wild Activity Week is for you."

"The training format is challenging, but a pleasant change from being in the gym. Plus, collapsing on the grass is nicer than collapsing on the gym floor"

"James is a highly motivated and passionate trainer and his energy definitely rubs off on his clients. He really knows his stuff and is the first person I would go to for any nutritional and fitness advice. Since I have been training with James my overall fitness has improved vastly and continues to do so. Anyone looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable trainer who makes getting stronger, fitter and healthier a fun and rewarding experience then James is your man"

"Wild training is the first training regime I’ve actually stuck with – I’m not sure whether it’s the trainers ridiculous enthusiasm at creating fun, yet eye ball popping exercises for us to tackle; the fortnightly tweaks and 8 week programme changes that keep us on our toes and constantly challenge us. Or, the results that I’ve seen, aesthetically, I’m more toned than ever, and performance wise, I’m fitter and stronger than I have been in a long while. I really appreciate Wild Training as it provides me with a fun group atmosphere and a well-balanced fitness programme that’s value for money. Who has ever tried balancing on paralettes, swinging around a giant power club, launching up a giant sandbag or hammering a huge tyre with a mallet – I have!"

"A wildly unique training system. Suits me because I feel small and weak (although I am told I’m not) and I can challenge my abilities within reason whilst having endless scope for improvement. I enjoy the creative use of the equipment and my enjoyment isn’t all endorphin based as the different bits of apparatus lend themselves to all sorts of uses which are FUN! All done in the great outdoors which clinches it for me"

"I began James’ Wild Transformation package after 6 months at Wild Training. I had really noticed the difference Wild training had made to both my fitness and body shape; so when I heard about the 12 week programme I didn’t think twice about signing up. Not only is it achievable it is great value for money.
I took part in this package to lose weight, improve my body shape, posture and fitness which was a lot to ask from one programme but right from the start James offered the best support possible, helping me with everything from motivation to diet plans. I would sometimes text James at 10 o’clock at night when in the detox week to ask him silly question, like whether or not I should be eating bananas after a workout. Nothing was too much trouble, and I always got a speedy reply.
I started the training with really high hopes and was not disappointed. First was the detox week which I thought would be impossible to stick to. No dairy, no carbs and no sugar (I lived on fruit). The food plan supplied Is idiot proof and literally tells you when and what to eat but somehow in a way that makes it seem possible. I did not know what to expect from this and actually ended up feeling quite bloated dispite having lost at least 3lbs. I discussed this in depth with James and we worked together to assess what the issue was. I continued the food plan and the next week was the re-introducing stage where we systematically started to bring the things that had been eliminated back in to my diet. This was to see which foods my body did and did not like. I learnt a lot about the foods I eat. Sugar in small amounts (like in fruit but not all day everyday) is ok. Bread is now a big no no for me and I felt great for leaving it out of my diet. I was awake, motivated and full of energy.
Alongside the eating plan, I continued Wild Training 3 times a week and also had one Personal Training session a week with James. These were very beneficial for me. They enabled James to address my personal targets and goals. He made me aware of what I should be doing in my own time to aid in my development. This included things like stretching my muscles in particular ways to improve my running technique and posture).
I also had a full body analysis at the start, middle and end of the transformation package. This determined my body fat percentage, weight and circumference measurements allowing me to track my progress.
Throughout this training I enjoyed the exercise programme and found it easy to follow; at times it was really tough and I really didn’t think that there was any way I would be able to continue but with James’s encouragement and the group atmosphere you get at the Wild training classes I did and at the end felt the fittest and lightest I had in years.
In all on the Wild transformation package I lost weight, inches and improved my fitness massively.
It is a challenging yet achievable programme that is adaptable to all fitness levels and abilities covering everything you'd expect from a top class full body transformation. It will change your attitude towards food and exercise in the best possible way. I now feel like I can run to the end of the earth and back and control what I eat from day to day with ease and awareness without restricting myself. Thank you Wild Training, I am now exactly where I want to be.

"Before I started Wild Training I had never really kept that fit or been able to stick to any exercise as I would lose interest and motivation really quickly. I found Wild Training to be completely different and found myself going in rain, snow (yes snow!!) and sunshine. What ever the weather, I enjoyed working out!
I found James to be really knowledgeable, motivational and really passionate about what he does. He wants to pass it all on to his clients. He was not pushy and in your face like other personal trainers, however, he does want you to push it to the max so that you get the absolute best out of each and every session. He also tries to make the training as fun as possible in his own weird way!
I really enjoyed doing a new phase every 8 weeks as this kept it interesting and not the same training all the time, which you always get in a gym. I’ve had some amazing results since starting and would be continuing if I wasn’t for leaving the area. I'm buying a Wild training home gym package until he sets up Wild Training where I’m going to be living. Personally I enjoyed the kettlebell phase and PHA phase the most as you could really see the progression, I also feel that this is where I got the best results! I went from lifting an 8kg kettlebell to smashing it out with a 32kg kettlebell by the end of it. My harderst phase for me was probably the Tabata Phase and the end of phase challenge was a killer!
My fitness has improved 10 fold since doing Wild Training and like I’ve said i've achieved some insane results! I would highly recommend Wild training to anyone!
I started Wild Training about 9 months ago, but, have recently had to give it up since I am moving out of the area, which I’m gutted about, but hopefully James will get a franchise up and running near to me soon!"
