My Story
For me fitness, health and activity all had a major role in my growing
up. When I was younger I never considered making a career out of
exercise.
After doing many different jobs, from being a butchers assistant,
working in retail and being a full time snowboard instructor to name a
few I ended up with a career in car sales. Working for one of the
biggest groups in the industry I became the top salesman in my league
within 8 months of starting, but I wasn’t happy.
It all changed when I sold a car to someone that had just completed a
diploma in sports massage therapy with Premier Training international.
It sounded awesome so I did my research and found out about a Premier
international open day in Windsor. Hearing what they had to say was
enough for me to quit my job and start a new career in fitness. I signed
up to do Premiers full diploma in personal training and sports massage
therapy. I loved the course and passed all the modules happily.

Whilst on the course I got a job at a small private gym in Ascot. After
qualifying I worked full time there but I was fresh off the course with
little experience so I didn’t get many clients compared to the already
established trainers there. Through that gym I qualified as a level 1
and level 2 Vibro gym instructor in 2007.
Through Premier I found out about a job at Champneys in Tring, which was
the country’s top health spa when I was there. I got the job and within
3 months they offered me the position of senior personal trainer. I got
loads of great experience at Champneys, training lots of different
types of clients. I had a massive exposure to personal training there
because it was mostly free for guests which meant I could put everything
I had learnt into practice, and still have time to do more studying. It
was at Champneys I met Frank Bruno. He was a real inspiration and a
great guy to have around when you’re training. Frank was the only person
I can say that has ever changed the way I train. I have always pushed
myself hard but after meeting frank and hearing his story I realised how
much more I was capable of, and for that I’ll always be grateful.
After working at Champneys for a year I decided I wanted more of a
challenge, I wanted to be around personal trainers that where better
than me, to learn more. Through my girlfriend who was working at David
Lloyd I met the gym manager there. We had a chat and were instantly
bouncing lots of training ideas off of each other. He offered me a job
and I took it. I wanted to see if I could cut it in a more competitive
environment, and learn more skills as I went. I qualified as a Pad box
boxing instructor at David Lloyd in 2009. I learnt loads whilst working
there and developed a good understanding of psychology and motivation to
go with my technical knowledge of exercise. After 3 months of working
there I was one of the busiest trainers and after 5 months I left and
set up my own personal training studio with 2 other partners.
After a
year running the studio as a very successful personal training business I
decided to sell my shares and move on with the many other ideas and
opportunities that I had. Since then I have been running Wild training
with great success and am now in a situation where franchises of Wild
training can be started by other personal trainers throughout the
country. I'm not the sort of person that is scared of failing which is why I try so many programmes. For every 10 I design that get thrown away I get 1 that I know will perfectly challenge my clients and achieve the world class results that both they and I have come to expect. One thing that i’ve learned is it’s always better to pull people
towards their goals than to push them. Leading by example is at the
core of everything I strive to achieve for myself and for my clients.
Developing the other Wild Training trainers is something i'm very passionate about. The team is full of inspiring trainers that have an immense amount of fitness knowledge. We do more training and studying than any other group of trainers i've worked with. I believe that we have the ability to be the best trainers in the country and we aren't afraid of putting in the work to get there.
